The Port Authority is ready to spend at least $1 billion to fix the Bayonne Bridge's height problem, a news agency reported yesterday.

The Bayonne City Council voted to hire two new prosecutors on Wednesday. Former Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Susan B. Gyss and former Bergen County Assistant Prosecutor Robert L. Hennessey were each hired with 10-month contracts for $32,500, according to today's Jersey Journal.
