Two Bayonne men arrested for drug possession involving oxycodone, police said
Two Bayonne men were charged with drug possession Saturday night in Bayonne after officers witnessed what they believed to be a drug transaction involving oxycodone, according to police.
Two Bayonne men were charged with drug possession Saturday night in Bayonne after officers witnessed what they believed to be a drug transaction taking place involving oxycodone, according to police.
Frank E. Pawlyzyn, 42, a Bayonne resident, was charged with distribution of a controlled, dangerous substance; and distribution within 1,000 feet of a school, reports stated.
Pawlyzyn also had an outstanding warrant in Hudson County, reports stated.
Mario Roman, 32, also a Bayonne resident, was charged with possession of a controlled, dangerous substance, reports stated.
Plain clothes detectives at 11:13 p.m. saw Pawlyzyn pull up in the back of a cab on Prospect Avenue, near 22nd Street, where he and Roman exchanged cash and what appeared to be drugs, reports stated.
Officers later recovered what they believed to be oxycodone; morphine and Zanax pills from Roman, and $100 from Pawlyzyn, reports stated.
Both men were taken to the Hudson County jail in Kearny, reports stated.
